Conversations en plein air is a solo exhibition of works by Charlotte Hodes at Musée Ariana, Geneva. The exhibition features a series of vases, a frieze of papercuts and an installation of over 150 pieces of tableware all gathered together on a chequered textile.

This project, realised during the Covid-19 pandemic, presents a playful analogy between French 18th century ‘Fêtes galantes’ paintings, Manet’s Le Déjeuner sur l’herbe and our heightened experience of the outdoors.
