MAI: Feminism & Visual Culture publication Autumn 2021A peer reviewed research paper Hard Lines, Soft Focus?: A discussion of the Craft in the Art of Charlotte Hodes has been published in the Autumn 2021 edition of MAI: Feminism & Visual Culture under the journal's theme Feminist Craft. Written by Hannah Westly with Charlotte Hodes, the paper is the outcome of their email correspondence that took place during the many months of lockdown during the pandemic. The paper follows the making of Hodes' large scale papercut, The Palaeontologist to argue that the understanding Hodes' crafting process is crucial to understanding her work.
