Interview for Faculti, December 2017
In an interview with Faculti, an international academic platform, Charlotte Hodes talks about her recent project Dressed in Pattern.https://faculti.net/dressed-in-pattern/
Dressed in Pattern 2014-2016 was the outcome of research made into the Spode ceramic factory’s archive of engravings, held at the Spode Museum Trust, Staffordshire, UK. Hodes’ involvement with the Spode Archive culminated in a commissioned table top installation, Spode Trees and Dressed Silhouettes, first shown at the British Ceramic Biennale, 2015. The larger body of work, made over a two-year period, includes ceramics, paintings and a series of relief prints, In the Shadows.
