‘First Editions: Re-Covered’, December 2017

‘First Editions: Re-Covered’ was a House of Illustration commission and fundraising auction that took place at Sotheby's. Hodes’ book jacket design for a first edition of ‘A Room of One’s Own’ by Virginia Woolf featured alongside more than thirty designs that raised over £130,000 for the Gallery.

House of Illustration is the UK’s only public gallery dedicated to illustration and the graphic arts, founded by Sir Quentin Blake and opened in King’s Cross in July 2014. It exists to champion, celebrate and explore illustration in all its forms, placing it at the heart of contemporary visual culture.
